Hire Generator Servicing
We understand that power performance and reliability is important. Total Generators includes a 60-point service / maintenance checklist that thoroughly details and evaluates the performance of your power supply whilst on hire.
Our scheduled service of diesel generators includes:
- Complete oil change and oil filter (only using SAE 15W-40)
- Comprehensive electrical and fuel inspection
- Performance test
- Check tension on belts & hoses
- Check battery charge test and levels
- Check seals and corrosion
- Check cooling systems
- Check fuel storage level

Refuelling
Total Generators can if required manage the fuel deliveries almost anytime.
Once power is connected, we will monitor the fuel consumption and formulate a diesel fuel management system based on real time fuel consumption. During service and inspection visits, records will be taken from the history of the generator. This information will be translated into a refuelling solution. Diesel consumed shall be invoiced monthly as delivered unless a separate invoice is requested.
Load Testing Generators
When you’re looking for experts in load bank testing, you can count on Total Generators to deliver. Our qualified and experienced electrical technicians work with a range of clients to perform plant commissioning and load banks testing.
Service Agreements
All clients who work with Total Generators on a generator maintenance agreement receive a quarterly scheduled visit and all technical support available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means that emergencies such as storms, floods and other peak demand times receive priority service.

Total Generators will service & maintain our generators as per OEM specifications. Most generators in our fleet are required to be serviced every 400hrs of operation.
Total Generators has resistive loadbanks for hire ranging from 400kW to 1000kW.
Total Generators recommends completing servicing of your generator as per the OEM specification.
No – Total Generators will require access to the generator & will manage usage & refuel accordingly.
Yes – Total Generators has 3 of their own tilt trays.
We can arrange mobilisation to any site in accordance with an approved delivery schedule once all equipment is ready for site and agreement is established. Our services include Tilt Trays, Trailer Mounted Units, Side Loaders and Cranes. Our fleet can be mobilised at short notice due to its modular design in an emergency.
